How to wash a suit?

Dry cleaning: suitable for local dirt cleaning, check which parts are dirty before washing. Then, spray it with water, put a small amount of high-grade soap or laundry detergent, brush it clean with a brush, and then rinse off the stain remover (soap, laundry detergent, etc.) with clean water. Otherwise, these parts will have white patches after drying. After washing, dry it to 80% or 90%, spread the suit on a flat felt surface, and then use a semi-dry and wet white cloth to spread it flat on the surface of the suit to be ironed, and iron the suit with an iron in order.
Wet washing: Wash the suit thoroughly with water. The method is the same as dry cleaning. The detergent can be washed with “silk wool detergent”. Never wash your suit in the washing machine. Do not use a towel as a cushion when ironing the suit, it is best to choose a white cloth that does not fade. Whenever you are not wearing a suit, you should take out the contents of your pockets in time and use a brush to sweep the dust off the surface of the suit in the direction. If conditions permit, hang it with a suit hanger and cover it with a clean plastic bag. This not only prevents the suit from deforming, but also prevents dust from being stained. If you can’t hang the suit, you can fold the suit in the usual way of folding the shirt, put it in a plastic film bag, or wrap it in paper and store it with mothballs. Do not press hard, or break a ball, compact, and wrinkle.
Warm reminder: When the suit is too dirty to dry clean, soak it in cold water for about 20 minutes before washing, squeeze out the water with both hands, and soak it in a neutral laundry detergent (1 tablespoon per piece) or soap flake liquid at about 40 °C for 10 minutes. Fish out the clothes with water, and pay attention to “three flats and one even” when brushing, that is, the washboard is flat, the clothes are laid, the washing is flat, and the force is even.
Suit fabric, what material is good for suits?
Pure wool worsted fabric: 100% wool, most of which have a thin texture, smooth sides, and clear textures. The luster is natural and soft, with bleaching. The body is crisp, soft and elastic to the touch. After holding the woolen material tightly, it is basically free of wrinkles, and even slight creases can disappear in a short time. It belongs to the finest fabrics of suits and is usually used for spring and summer suits. Easy to pilling, not resistant to wear, easy to moth, mold.
Pure fiber imitation wool fabric: dull luster, weak feel, lack of crispness. Due to poor elasticity, it is very easy to wrinkle and not easy to fade. The strength of the yarn extracted from the fabric after wet water is significantly lower than that of the dry state, which is an effective way to identify viscose fabrics. In addition, this type of faux wool fabric becomes stiff and thick when soaked. It belongs to the low-end products of suit fabrics.
Pure wool coarse fabric: 100% wool, most of which are thick in texture, plump on the side, soft and light and barefoot. This side and suede are not revealed. The texture is clear and rich. Gentle to the touch, crisp and stretchy. It belongs to the finest fabrics and is usually used for autumn-winter suits. Easy to pilling, not resistant to wear, easy to moth, mold.
Polyester and viscose imitation fabric: thin texture, smooth and textured surface, easy to shape and not easy to wrinkle, light and chic, simple maintenance. The disadvantage is poor warmth, which belongs to pure chemical fiber fabrics and is suitable for spring and summer suits. It belongs to the mid-range suit fabric.
Wool and polyester blend: The surface has shiny spots in the sun, lacking the soft softness of pure wool fabrics. Wool polyester (polyester wool) fabric is crisp but hard, and stands out with the increase of polyester content. The elasticity is better than that of pure wool fabrics, but the feel is not as good as pure wool and wool blends. Loosen after squeezing the fabric tightly, almost without creases. It belongs to the mid-range suit fabric.
Wool and viscose or cotton blends: Dull sheen. Worsted textiles have a weaker feel, while coarse spinners have a loose feel. The elasticity and crispness of this type of fabric are not as good as pure wool and wool polyester and wool clear blends. However, the price is relatively low, the maintenance is simple, and the wearing is more comfortable. It belongs to the mid-range suit fabric.
